Good Morning Friends!
In honor of election week, we'll be taking this week to explore questions surrounding our political identities. What does it mean to participate in politics? What role should American residents and citizens play in political life? How does our electoral system work? How can it be improved? Who should have the right to vote? Should voting be mandatory? These are just some of the questions we will grapple with as we investigate our democratic electoral system. For this week, we will have one assignment due during our second class of the week (for Pod A, that's 11/5; for Pods B&C, that's 11/6). You will find one source related to the topics we will discuss on 11/3 - 11/4 and complete a set of research reading notes to prepare to participate in a Socratic seminar discussion on 11/5 - 11/6. Here's a summary of the assignments for the week: 1. Due before our second class of the week (for Pod A, that's 11/5; for Pods B&C, that's 11/6): find a source, complete research reading notes, submit on Google Classroom, and add a link to your notes in your digital notebook. 2. Due Monday night (11/9): weekly student journal entry 3. Due Monday night (11/9): weekly vocabulary expansion chart Comments are closed.
