This week, we are working to workshop, revise, and polish our autobiographical snapshots. We will also become acquainted with StoryCorps and start thinking about how to tell and capture stories through dialogical interviews. Finally, you have a new reading project in preparation for a Socratic seminar next week on what it means to do history. Hello poets and philosophers! This week, we are diving deeper into our History of Self project by exploring the genre of autobiography. We will read excerpts from some notable autobiographies, discuss the art of storytelling, and practice writing "snapshots" from our own autobiographies: self-contained stories from our lives.
